Care Of Blades

Cleaning

Using a soft clean cloth, thoroughly wipe your clipper blades after every groom or haircut. This will reduce the build-up of chemicals and hair which may affect the performance of your blades throughout the working day.

Lubrication

After cleaning and drying your blades, lubricate them. Carefully  apply a few drops of oil at the pivot area. This assists in the cleaning process by pushing dirt, debris and hair from under the pivot, leaving a small layer of protective oil. This process should be carried out daily to prolong the life of your scissors.

Why oil and clean daily?

Daily oiling and cleaning will enhance the performance and extend the cutting life of your blades. Regular cleaning and lubrication protects your blades against the chemicals and moisture typically found in salon environments.

Storage

How you store your blades is also very important and for added protection you should always store in any protective cases provided.

Sharpening

Your blades will have a long lasting sharpness if they are serviced correctly. When the time comes to have your blades sharpened then the process must be done through an experienced sharpener.
